You've heard the cliché, "God moves in mysterious ways." However, God's ways were never meant to be mysterious to us.
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve heard God walking (Genesis 3:8). Adam even said, I heard the sound of You in the garden..." (Genesis 3:10). Even with the wind blowing, animals screeching, and plants rustling, he HEARD God moving.
David said, "Teach me Your way, Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies" (Psalm 27:11). So just because God's ways are not like ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), does not mean we do not or should not know His ways.
We know the ways of the salmon and why they journey upstream. They are not our ways. We know the ways of the Monarch butterfly and its annual migration. They are not our ways. How? Through observation and study.
How sensitive are your spiritual ears to the movement of God? Do you know His ways? Are you studying and observing? If you need help, do as David did. Approach God in prayer and say, "Teach me Your Way, Lord."
